Ask Men Trust & Cheating
What are signs someone is hiding something from you?
Asked by Man, 30
Phone face-down, new passwords, stories that do not match. I feel paranoid.
Men’s answer
From the men
One locked phone is not a conviction. A new wall around ordinary life plus stories that slip is a pattern. Paranoia is what secrecy produces; that does not make you the villain. Ask a direct question once. Watch whether they get curious about your fear or angry that you noticed. Anger at being noticed is louder than the password.
Women’s answer
From the women
Hiding has a texture: less sharing, more irritation when you ask simple things, a life that only adds up if you do not look closely. You are not owed their diary. You are owed a relationship that does not require you to become a detective. If you are already investigating, something is already wrong — either them, or the fit.
