How do I ask for more effort without sounding like I am begging?

Asked by Woman, 28

I have asked nicely, then not nicely. He calls both nagging.

Men’s answer

Begging is repeating a request that has already been refused by inaction. Ask once, specifically: 'I need a plan by Friday, not a vibe.' If nothing happens, stop asking and change what you give. A man who wants to keep you will hate the silence more than the ask. Nagging is what we call a request we do not intend to meet.

Women’s answer

Specific and finite beats a mood. 'Plan a date this month' is a task. 'Care about me' is a verdict. If he needs you to manage the task list of being loved, you already have your answer. Dignity is asking clearly, then believing the follow-through.

What to do next

One specific ask, a deadline, no reminders. After the deadline, act as if you have the information.
